Types of Technology There are three primary categories of technology: Developed Technology: This includes modern methods and applications, such as airplanes, cars, and advanced healthcare equipment. Under-Developed Technology: Refers to traditional methods that rely on indigenous practices, like horse-drawn carts or manual farming tools. Developing Technology: This type combines elements of both developed and under-developed technologies, often seen in countries like Nigeria where basic modern techniques are integrated with traditional practices. Importance of Technology Technology plays a crucial role in various aspects of life: Improved Standard of Living: Enhancements in transportation, communication, and healthcare have significantly raised living standards. Economic Growth: Technological advancements contribute to infrastructure development, such as better roads and electricity supply.
